Having a full life as an individual is as important as applying a college degree skill to a job craft. The skills our screenwriting graduates have in moving image arts transfer from a job to one’s whole social and intellectual life. Much of our class discussion is on “process” or “method”– on how to find the general theme, how to focus on the dramatic “stuff” – and how to find useable scenes and characters and sequences.
There's nothing new under the sun in plot or genre, except you and your approach to life and story.
