Canadian-American Soprano Alicia Reid holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Vocal
Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro. She performs regularly with local companies, including
Piedmont
Opera, Summerfield Stage Company, Creative Greensboro, Community Theatre of Greensboro,
and Bel Canto Company, a professional choir in Greensboro. Recent roles include Meg
in Little Women with Summerfield Stage, Maria Rainer in The Sound of Music with Creative
Greensboro, and Cinderella in Into the Woods with Lexington Live. Operatic roles include
Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte with UNCG Opera Theatre, and the title
character in Pauline Viardot’s Cinderella with Piedmont Opera. In 2022 she was a semifinalist
in the NATS National Musical Theatre Competition in New York City. Alicia is also
a music director and classically trained harpist.
