Anne Medlock brings more than 18 years of experience in higher education and theatrical design to her role as Associate Dean of Design & Production at UNCSA. A seasoned educator, administrator and artist, she previously served as department head and Faculty Senate President at West Texas A&M University.
Medlock is an accomplished costume designer, with work spanning musicals, dramas, and comedies — from "Ada and the Engine" to "The Crucible" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." Her designs have been seen on stages across Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky and Ohio. Medlock is also a committed mentor, known for her hands-on support of student designers and her advocacy for inclusive, forward-thinking theatre education. She currently serves as Education Commissioner for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT).
