Anson Koch-Rein

Anson Koch-Rein is an Assistant Professor of Humanities and Gender Studies. He joined the Divison of Liberal Arts faculty after three years teaching in the Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies Department at Grinnell College. He is an interdisciplinary teacher-scholar interested in questions of identity, embodiment and knowledge production. His teaching focuses on helping students acquire critical and rhetorical skills for a world of life-long, self-directed learning. His pedagogy is based in a liberal arts tradition in which students engage ideas and practice interpreting both texts and power relations.
