Gevorg Khachatryan

Gevorg Khachatryan was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. He trained as a gymnast for three years before switching to classical ballet. He began studying ballet upon his acceptance to the Yerevan State Choreographic College in 2009, where he trained for eight years in classical ballet, character dance, partnering classes, and acting. He graduated in 2017 and was offered a position with the Armenian Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan, Armenia. There he danced in various ballets such as: Don Quixote, Giselle, Spartacus, Carmen, and Gayane.

In 2018 he came to the United States to participate in a cultural exchange program sponsored by Rotary International Club. He furthered his training with Artistic Motion School of Arts for three years under the instruction of Misha Tchoupakov, Sean Sullivan, Bj Sullivan, and Natalya Davison. In 2022 he was offered a company contract with Triad International Ballet as a Principal Dancer. During his time with the company he danced the role of Espada from Don Quixote, The Nutcracker Soldier from The Nutcracker, and he performed Basilio and friends at the Tanger Center. He has taught at Artistic Motion School of the Arts, Burlington Dance Center, in addition to his position with the UNCSA Preparatory Dance Program.
