Maidoff has been represented by CAA, and now by Transatlantic Agency, developed several TV series, and written/directed over 28 award-winning films, installations, and documentaries including her recent film “The Fullest Day of Summer,” which addresses the opiate crisis.  Her films continue to be screened internationally.

Prior to her arrival at UNCSA, Maidoff was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in their graduate and undergraduate programs teaching screenwriting and directing.  She has also taught as a University Lecturer at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Ohio University’s graduate film program.

Development of story is an ongoing process, a way to transform insight and contemplation into a meaningful and abstracted dialogue about life. Creativity comes from the freedom to take risks and my goal is to train the next generation of filmmakers to be technically proficient and informed content creators. I involve students in ideation, a process designed to locate original voice, personal image system, and their aesthetic. This identifies what I call their Creative DNA.”
