Originally from Massachusetts, Sara Emery holds a Master of Music in Performance from the University of Georgia where she studied with Dr. Connie Frigo, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Performance from Ithaca College, where she studied with Dr. Steven Mauk.
Sara has taught private saxophone lessons and clinics for over 14 years, and presented and performed with large and chamber ensembles at many conferences - including the Georgia Music Teacher National Association, the Georgia Music Educators Association, the North American Saxophone Alliance, and the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium.
Prior to moving to Winston-Salem, Sara was the principal saxophonist and a founding member of the Gwinnett Symphony Wind Orchestra, and maintained a small private studio in Athens, Georgia.
