Performance Overview
“Symposium” returns for its second season, a bold guest artist series from the School of Filmmaking that brings together filmmakers, artists, scholars and changemakers to explore how creative work shapes our world. This year’s lineup features a range of dynamic events, including a live metal score performance of the silent film “The Passion of Joan of Arc,” a timely talk on hip-hop sampling and music law with scholar Enrique Armijo, and a screening of “Art Spiegelman: Disaster is My Muse,” a documentary by faculty member Molly Bernstein on the creator of “Maus.”
These highlights are just a glimpse of what’s ahead. With a full schedule of screenings, lectures and interdisciplinary conversations, “Symposium” invites audiences to engage with the ideas, issues and innovations shaping today’s creative landscape.
