The UNCSA nu Ensemble presents an exhilarating performance featuring the bold and diverse voices of living composers. The program includes a dynamic mix of works that explore the boundaries of sound, structure and storytelling in contemporary classical music. The program is highlighted by emerging composer Aarush Bothra’s “Spring,” a fantastical piece for percussion ensemble. With richly layered imagery in collaboration with Blender Studio, the work follows a girl and her dog as they venture through a mysterious wood, shepherding the changing seasons. This cinematic journey is underscored by Bothra’s vivid, emotionally dynamic score.
