Karim Fatkhutdinov is a second-year undergraduate in Production Design in the School of Filmmaking. He has experience working on film projects both in and out of UNCSA and has additional interests in VFX and Music Technology. He is also a member of the Welcome Squad and International Students Association at UNCSA.
Karim was born in Istanbul, Turkey, but grew up in Guangzhou in the south of China. His early artistic passion was music, although later on he spent time exploring programming and urban planning before finally comitting to filmmaking. To him, art is a way to connect people who may not having many obvious similarities. This has been his goal since coming to Winston-Salem and what he hopes to do in ArtistCorps and everywhere else.
