Luanda Sentmanat Blanco is a second year MFA candidate in Wig & Makeup Design. She is a proudly Mexican-Cuban artist raised in Puerto Rico.
Luanda earned her Bachelor's in Drama with a concentration in Acting, which fuels her intuitive understanding of character, transformation, and presence. Her journey has taken her from working behind the scenes with the company management team of Hamilton's Angelica Tour in Puerto Rico, to leading the Wig & Makeup Department at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in the summer of 2025.
Luanda is passionate about creating inclusive and intentional spaces in theater, places where POC and queer stories are honored from root to crown. Through her work with ArtistCorps, she hopes to continue empowering artists to take pride in their craft, culture, and creating a voice.
