Nahria is a current Stage Properties student at UNCSA, where they have gained knowledge of theatrical productions and how shows are run behind the scenes. Within the program, they have been able to improve their artisan skills as well as gain experience instructing other artisans with every show production.
They have been able to lead multiple teams on various carpentry and craft builds. Creating detailed build plans and instructing artisans, they have found joy in being able to collaborate with fellow artisans on projects. Having worked a summer at College Light Opera Company, they have built, purchased, and modified various props for a nine-show season.
They were able to showcase their artisan skills as well as their time and money management skills. In the future, Nahria would like to continue working in theatre and expand their work to film and television as well.
