Rose Castell

Rose Castell is a fourth-year Ballet student in the School of Dance. She was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina, and trained at Charlotte Ballet during her high school years. During her time at UNCSA, Rose had the privilege to dance in "The Nutcracker," "Spring Dance," "Winter Dance" and many student choreographed works. Along with the performance opportunities, she also had gotten to dance and act for many films created by students in the School of Filmmaking.

What brought you to UNCSA?

I wanted to come to UNCSA because no matter where I went for dance, there was always an alumni from the school. There are pickles everywhere!

What is your favorite spot on campus and why?

My favorite spot on campus is the Library Cafe. It’s a great place to grab a coffee or smoothie, do some homework and hang out with friends.
