Sara Goldfarb

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Sara Goldfarb began her professional dance training at Open Door Dance Studio, where she proficiently trained in contemporary, ballet and variations.

In 2018, she began performing as an apprentice with the contemporary dance company, Baran Dance (BD2). There, Sara worked with the founder and artistic director Audrey Baran to experience a professional setting while learning to find her own artistic voice. She trained and performed both repertory and new works along with professionals.

She is now a senior at UNCSA pursuing a B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance. At UNCSA Sara has performed repertory works from José Limón and Merce Cunningham, and original works from Andrew Harper, Ming-Lung Yang, Kira Blazek-Ziaii, Gina Patterson and Anthony Lee Bryant. Additionally, she has trained and performed at the Ailey School, Hubbard Street Dance, American Dance Festival, and B12 summer intensives. After graduation, she is excited to pursue a professional career as a dancer and art maker.
