Violinist Sebastian Leczky was born in Vienna, Austria, into a Hungarian family of musicians. Since the age of 10, he has performed regularly as a soloist and concertmaster with various orchestras.
As a soloist and chamber musician, Sebastian performs regularly at renowned international
festivals including the Musikverein Vienna, Konzerthaus Klagenfurt, Oper Burg Gars,
Wiener Mozarthaus, MuTh Konzertsaal and the Ehrbar Saal among other halls in Austria,
Germany, United Kingdom, Greece, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Italy, Czech Republic, Albania,
Slovakia, Hungary and the United States.
He's also been recorded and live broadcasted by TV ORF, Radio Ö1, Radio Klassik Stephansdom,
Bartók Radio Budapest, ABC News, Televizioni SCAN and been featured in the world's
leading classical music platforms, such as The Strad Magazine and The Violin Channel.
From 2019 to 2022, Sebastian was supported by the Vienna Philharmonic young artist
program. He has been awarded top prizes at numerous international violin and chamber
music competitions in Austria, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and
Hungary.
He is a dedicated teacher and has been teaching privately since the age of 17. In 2023, he was invited to hold a Masterclass at the University of Arts in Tirana, Albania.
In 2022, he co-founded the Kodály String Duo and launched the "KSDV-contemporary", a project to expand the string duo repertoire. His duo recently became the first Ambassador of the Universal Edition, a music publishing house.
Sebastian is currently a third-year undergraduate studying violin performance with Prof. Ida Bieler at UNCSA.
