Performance Overview
Discover the intersection of creativity and responsibility at the UNCSA School of Filmmaking's Symposium. This engaging series brings together fine artists, filmmakers, poets,
activists and educators to explore how creative work shapes our world.
The ongoing symposium series will feature multiple guest artists throughout the semester
including visionary director Susan Seidelman (“Desperately Seeking Susan”), a special
screening of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” (1927) with a live metal score by “The Silent
Light,” and additional lectures, screenings and discussions that provide both inspiration
and practical tools to explore unique voices and perspectives Whether you’re a creative
professional or simply curious, join us for an inspiring journey into the cultural
impact of the arts.
All Symposium events take place from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the ACE Theater Complex. Some
events have additional special events that take place in the evening. All events are
free and open to the public, no tickets are required for entry. For the full schedule
