Paul Razza

Paul Razza is a multitalented administrator and filmmaker with over 25 years of experience in public and private higher education in the arts. He brings a deep knowledge of arts education, a passion for nontraditional film forms and experience with experimental cinema to the School of Filmmaking.

Paul Razza has earned more than 50 awards from organizations such as the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (formerly the International Academy of Visual Arts) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). At the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), he created marketing that resulted in the college being named “Hottest for studying art” and one of “25 cutting-edge schools with an eye toward the future” by Kaplan/Newsweek.

While running SCAD’s production house, Paul was able to work with film industry luminaries such as Sidney Poitier, Peter O’Toole, Jane Fonda, Sidney Lumet, Glenn Close, Roger Ebert, Isabella Rossellini, Lee Daniels, and Walter Murch. Paul transitioned to an administrative role, working with the president and vice presidents to build campus locations and student bodies in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia; France; Hong Kong; and online in what marked the most rapid growth period for SCAD.

At the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts, Paul served on the executive committee as director of admissions. Working with college administration, he played an integral role in launching their animation and digital arts program and was in the classroom teaching film students the art of storytelling, which is at the cornerstone of a college named “one of the world’s best” by The Hollywood Reporter.
