Sarah Greer

Sarah Greer teaches mathematics in the UNCSA High School Academic Program. Of her teaching style, she says, "It’s natural to celebrate accomplishment in the classroom, but I also make sure we celebrate improvement. As important as this time is for helping students master a particular concept, it is equally important to show them that I want them to succeed, that I am willing to help them in any way that I can and to praise their willingness to seek help when they need it."

Math is difficult for a lot of students, but I hope that through my classroom structure students will learn to work together, realize that we all make mistakes and mistakes are part of the learning process and learn to think through problems.
