Performance Overview

The UNCSA Chamber Music Festival, led by artistic directors and faculty members Ida Bieler and Dmitri Vorobiev, returns for its fifth season with a Fall installment showcasing outstanding performances by students, faculty and guest artists, including Ilya Kaler (violin), Marcelo Padilla (bassoon), and Edward Arron (cello). A highlight promises to be Sergei Taneyev’s Piano Quintet—rarely performed and vastly challenging to play—especially the daunting piano part, which requires an athleticism few pianists possess. Faculty artist Dmitri Vorobiev will undertake the challenge, joined by students, other faculty, and guest artists.
